We invite you to come and try our Authentic North Indian Curries and Dishes. Our curries are fit for royalty and prepared by co-owner Peter Francis. Peter is a third-generation chef, who has over 35 years’ experience in the culinary arts.  He has cooked for diplomats and politicians, including former South African president Thabo Mbeki.

Hungry Peter is situated at the Boardwalk in Summerstrand, Port Elizabeth. Our main offering is Curry Takeaways, but have a few tables inside and outside our restaurant if you want to enjoy a sit down meal. Our curry has received raving reviews from both patrons and critics alike. Curries and dishes take about 10 to 20 minutes to be served. Most curries are served with rice and salad. We are family friendly and do not serve liquor, but cold drinks are on offer.  Choose your bite, mild curry, medium curry, or for the adventurous, HOT CURRY :).

Our indian dishes range from simple meals like Samoosas, Naan (butter or garlic), roti’s and include delightful favourites like Chicken Bryani, Mutton Roganjosh Curry, Chicken Tikka Masala and tons of other lip smacking curry dishes. All our dishes are strictly Halaal and Vegetarian Curry options are also on offer.
